Fabrication

Drawing inspiration from the four seasons, this piece features a cluster of icicles, scattered rain drops, falling leaves, and a spiral of songbirds. Each of these elements represents one of the four seasons and is formed from either cast or handblown glass. The composition of the sculpture, with its dense center radiating outward, represents the dichotomy of chaos and order that simultaneously exists within nature. The naming of the sculpture pays homage to the glassblowing origins of Italy and the elegance of Vivaldi’s violin concerto masterpiece.
