Desert Rose - Experiments

The addition of 3D-printing in our design workflow has opened a new creative outlet for our designers and the ability to rapidly prototype like never before.

These forms that were inspired by simple origami and desert rose crystals, were created from nearly flat 3D-printed pieces that are then folded and snapped together at their edges.
By playing with scale and materiality, we can make a large number of shapes and structures.

Increasing the scale of the prints has created a simple, yet intriguing pendant light.
